Installation of a replacement Gas Holder for Biffa at their Poplars Landfill AD plant in Cannock was put to work in May 2026. Utile were contracted to replace the Gas Holder that we originally installed over 15 years ago with a larger unit to meet their current demands
Another successful Gas Holder installation for Severn Trent Water at their Wanlip STW, put to work in October 2025. Utile were contracted to replace the Gas Holder that was originally installed in 2015 with a unit to meet current specifications and comply with Severn Trent Water Asset standards.
This site is operated by Veolia and Utile were contracted to replace their original 2,150m3 double membrane gas holder that had come to the end of its design life. Critical to the contract was the speed of change and we successfully completed the project in May 2024 in 6 working days, start to finish.
Utile have supplied Anglian Water with a new Sattler B9 122/250 Double Membrane 2,150m3 ground mounted gas holder and associated Lightning Protection Masts in accordance with BSEN62350, rolling sphere method to LPS1 protection.
Utile have once more, supplied Anglian Water with a new Sattler Double Membrane ground mounted gas holder. Sized with a capacity of 810m3 to precisely match the replaced unit and arranged to replicate the original design to allow the existing ancillary equipment to be utilised.
Contracted by Galliford Try for Wessex Water, Utile have designed, supplied and installed on a turnkey basis, the 850m3 Double Membrane Gas Holder, 3No. Digester Gas Mixing Systems and 2No. Biogas Boosters sets for this site refurbishment. Final commissioning of this plant is due within 2024.
