As part of a site upgrade co-ordinated by Yorkshire Water Services, Utile were contracted to supply and install a new Double Membrane ground mounted Gas Holder, new biogas condensate pots, pipework, valves and instrumentation from the Digesters to the new gas holder, biogas boilers, CHP and Waste Gas Burner.
The new Sattler B9 118/205 Double Membrane, 570m3 ground mounted gas holder, replaced 2 original gas holders and was re-sited. Scope of supply included duty/standby air blowers, local control panel, laser level measurement, gas detection and lightning protection masts in accordance with BSEN62350, rolling sphere method to LPS1 protection.
This gas holder was installed in late 2023 and concurrently brought on line along with the new pipework system and has operated trouble free since.
